Industrial Visit

An Industrial visit gives the student knowledge and exposure needed to grasp certain engineering techniques and terminologies for easier understanding. An in-plant training increases a student's opportunity of get a job after graduation. An in-plant training adds more experience to the portfolio of the student.

ADS students visited Space Zone, where they explored advancements in space technology and its intersection with AI and data science. The visit included expert sessions on satellite systems, rocket design, and real-time data applications in space missions. Hands-on demonstrations helped students understand how AI is used in navigation, telemetry, and image analysis. The experience sparked curiosity about aerospace innovations and AI-driven solutions in space exploration. It offered a valuable blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to space-tech applications.

ADS students visited L&T Mindtree, where they explored real-world applications of AI and data science in the IT industry. They participated in interactive sessions led by industry experts on emerging technologies and agile development practices. Topics such as data analytics, cloud computing, and AI-driven solutions were discussed in depth. Students gained insights into the role of data science in solving business problems across sectors. The visit provided valuable exposure to corporate work culture and current industry expectations.

The students of the ADS (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) department embarked on an industrial visit to Aeroknotz, Chennai, where they gained in-depth exposure to the evolving field of drone technology. The visit provided a unique opportunity to understand how AI and data science are revolutionizing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems. Through interactive sessions with industry experts, students learned about drone architecture, autonomous navigation, sensor data integration, and the role of machine learning in flight control and obstacle avoidance. This immersive experience bridged the gap between academic concepts and real-world applications, reinforcing the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of intelligent systems.

NGO Visit

As part of their social responsibility, the students actively participated in interacting with destitute children and the elderly, lending not just their presence but also their genuine affection and attention. Carefully prepared and packed meals - generously provided and transported from the college - were served to the children with great care and love, emphasizing the values of empathy and sharing.

The students also engaged in various activities aimed at uplifting the community, including educational workshops and health camps. These initiatives not only benefited the recipients but also enriched the students' understanding of social issues and the importance of giving back to society.

The students of II ADS visited Anbu Thondu Nilayam with jubilant spirits. The home housed around 20 elderly residents,7 women and 13 men, who welcomed the students with warmth and curiosity. The students engaged in heartfelt conversations, learning about the residents' life stories, challenges, and aspirations. They organized interactive sessions, sharing laughter and creating memorable moments together.

A total of 54 students from II ADS , including 21 girls and 33 boys, actively took part in the visit to Kalaivani Old Age Trust . They were accompanied by the faculty members, Dr. J. Vijayalakshmi and Mr. Vijay, who guided and motivated them throughout the program. The visit was organized on 2nd August 2025 at Chengalpet with the aim of creating meaningful interactions between the students and the elderly residents.
