The Department of Chemical Engineering, St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, signed a

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hubert Enviro Care Systems Limited (HECS) on

October 7, 2025. The MoU was formalized in the presence of Ms. Pravina Moses, Director, Hubert

Enviro Care Systems Limited, and the faculty members of the department. This collaboration

aims to strengthen industry–institute interaction and provide students with valuable exposure to

industrial practices. The outcomes of this MoU include industrial visits, in-plant training,

internships, guest lectures, workshops, placements, and faculty development programmes. On

the day of signing the MoU, Ms. Pravina Moses delivered an insightful guest lecture to the

students on the “Scope of Chemical Engineers in the Field of Environment.” The session

enlightened students on emerging opportunities and the growing importance of sustainable

practices in environmental engineering.This partnership with HECS is expected to enhance

students’ practical learning experience and prepare them for dynamic careers in chemical and

environmental engineering. The Department of Chemical Engineering continues to uphold its

commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry through such meaningful

collaborations.
