The Department of Chemical Engineering at St.
Joseph’s College of Engineering, organized an
insightful Alumni Interaction Session on the
topic "Importance of Industrial Experience in
Modern Industrial Revolutions" on March 28,
2025, at Basil Hall. The guest speaker for the
session was Mr. Vijay Sankarasubramanian, an
esteemed alumnus of the department and
currently serving as Assistant Manager at SPIC,
Thoothukudi. The session, held between 11:00 AM
and 12:30 PM, drew enthusiastic participation
from chemical engineering students eager to
bridge academic learning with real-world
industrial insights.

ALUMNI MOCK INTERVIEW
The Department of Chemical Engineering at St.
Joseph's College of Engineering organized an
Alumni Mock Interview session on April 5, 2025,
exclusively for third-year Chemical Engineering
students. The event aimed to prepare students
for upcoming campus placements by offering
them real-time interview experience with
industry professionals and academic scholars
from the department’s alumni network.
Five distinguished alumni graced the occasion:
Roshni M (2016–2020) – Senior Research Analyst
at Zifo Technologies Private Limited, Revathy
(2016–2020) – Software Developer at Mindgate
Solutions, Shijoy Thomas (2015–2019) – Research
Scholar at IIT Madras, Gajalakshmi (2020–2024) –
Graduate Engineer Trainee at Andritz
Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Praveen Kumar V (2020–
2024) – Process and Technical Safety Engineer at
iFluids Pvt. Ltd.
