   The  Department  of  Electrical  and  Electronics

   Engineering      has    signed     a    Memorandum          of
   Understanding  (MoU)  with  Green  Carpet  Foundation,
   Coimbatore  —  the  CSR  wing  of  Thai  Green  Power

   Solution Company Limited, Thailand — on 8th October
   2025.  As  part  of  this  collaboration,  the  company  has
   committed  to  establishing  an  Innovation  Lab  focusing
   on  Renewable  Energy  and  Sustainability,  Blockchain
   Technology,  and  UI/UX  Design.  The  MoU  aims  to

   provide  valuable  opportunities  for  students  through
   industry    training,    internships,     workshops,      and
   placements.  The  signing  ceremony  took  place  in  the

   presence  of  Mr.  Murugesan  Kandaswamy,  Founder  &
   Chairman,  and  Ms.  Ponsana  David,  CEO  of  Green
   Carpet Foundation.

                                            The  Department  of  Electrical  and  Electronics  Engineering  at  St.
                                            Joseph's College of Engineering, in collaboration with the IEEE St.
                                            Joseph’s  College  of  Engineering  Student  Branch  Chapter
                                            (SBC60101),  IEEE  Special  Interest  Group  on  Humanitarian
                                            Technology  AG  (SBA60101S),  and  IEEE  MAS  Special  Interest

                                            Group  on  Humanitarian  Technology  AG,  organized  an  expert
                                            session  on  October  7,  2025.  The  session,  themed  "Leveraging  AI
                                            Technology  for  a  Better  Tomorrow,"  was  delivered  by  Mr.

                                            Arisudan T H, Alumnus of EEE (2020–2024) and Immediate Past
                                            Chairperson  of  IEEE  SJCE  SIGHT  AG.  This  insightful  session
                                            focused  on  how  Artificial  Intelligence  (AI)  can  be  harnessed  to
                                            build a sustainable and inclusive future by empowering smarter
                                            solutions  in  energy  usage,  healthcare,  and  environmental

                                            protection.  Mr.  Arisudan  emphasized  how  AI  enhances  human
                                            potential  by  augmenting  learning,  innovation,  and  accessibility,
                                            thereby creating equal opportunities for all. The event served as

                                            an enriching platform for students and professionals to explore
                                            the transformative role of AI in driving positive societal impact,
                                            fostering innovation, and shaping a better tomorrow.
